Coronavirus & Help Available in Arnside

In these difficult times it is important that we all do our best to keep ourselves and our families safe and to minimise risk. However, it is also important that we all look out for and help our neighbours as best we can, particularly those who are elderly, infirm and living alone.
The best guidance is to adopt a common sense approach to cleanliness and contact with others, but to respond to the regular updates from informed sources.

Arnside Parish Council have issued a statement detailing suggested actions and sources of help and information.  Click on: Community Support - Arnside Parish Council to view the full statement.

Arnside Volunteer Group

And any reasonable jobs that can be performed outside the home.

Emergency Northern Train Timetables from 24th March 2020In principles agreed with the Department for Transport and aligned with other UK Train Operating Companies, from Tuesday 24th March, Northern is launching an emergency temporary timetable.
This represents a significant change from the normal daily timetable, with a specific focus to deliver an effective public transport service for key workers.
Reducing the number of trains in service also creates opportunities for additional cleaning activities on trains and in depots, and allows more targeted cleaning at stations.

Information is available to be viewed on journey planners and via PDF copies which are located here:

For those concerned about anyone they think may need extra help or support
